Bluebird Yacht of 1938 – CVO Fire Installation
Restored to her former glory by GL Watson with an interior by Dickie Bannenberg and Simon Rowell.
The design was inspired by the Queen Mary especially her bow profile.
Her displacement steel hull was designed to go to the Cocos islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Blue Bird was was built in Goole, a shipyard with a solid history for building commercial and military ships.
The main saloon designed by Bannenberg and Rowell.
A classic CVO contemporary fireplace in the main saloon is used extensively on inclement days.
The saloon is elegantly furnished with the sense of being at home rather than on a yacht.
