Art teacher Ash Taylor, charity freelancer Carolyn and their six year old son Jacob live in a four bedroom detached house inherited from Ash’s parents... meaning that Carolyn is living in the shadow of her late mother-in-law’s tastes. But is Ash really ready to change the house his parents once lived in?
George’s challenge is to reconcile 1970s architecture with the needs of modern living. In the 1970s land was much cheaper meaning bigger homes and larger gardens. Identikit houses were dropped into newly created cul-de-sacs regardless of aspect - so some got light and air whilst others stayed dark and dingy. |
