It is now becoming popular to install TV's above Fireplaces. This type of installation should not be considered lightly. We strongly advise that expert advice should be sought before doing this type of installation. There are many issues which need to be covered, most importantly the heat damage that can occur to the TV. This type of installation means that there is no need for a hearth or surround and a TV on a stand, all of which can take up considerable space within a room. By removing these from the floor and positioning on the wall it makes the room space open and contemporary. With careful planning it is also possible to hide the DVD, surround sound and all cabelling.
