| FR600 - High Efficiency "Hole in the Wall" Gas Fire (83%) |
FR600 : High Efficency Ribbon Fire with Glass Front and Thermostatic Control. This wall mounted contemporary fireplace has been created with energy saving and style in mind. With a modern ribbon burner that is complemented by ceramic pebbles the 3.6kw gas fire has an efficiency rating of 83% meaning that most of the heat generated by the ribbon burner is returned to the room. Heres why:
- 6kw Conventional fire - Running Cost = 27p/hour - heat in the room = 1.5kw
- 3.6kw FR600 fire - running cost = 16p/hour - heat in the room = 3kw.
By replacing the fire above with an FR600 you will get twice as much heat in your room for 60% of the cost. To increase the efficiency the fire is supplied with a radio remote control system [RF] that incorporates a room temperature monitoring system. Simply set the room temperature on the handset to your desired level and let the fire do the work. By constantly monitoring the room temperature the fire will turn the flame up and down automatically. The fire is suitable for Class 1, Class 2 and Pre-Cast flue systems. Choose from black satin or stainless finishes. The fire is approved with a shelf above which will allow for a TV to be installed above if desired [with careful planning]. As this is a glass fronted fire there is no need for additional room ventilation. The fire is supplied with ceramic pebbles. |
Approved with a Shelf above allowing for a TV if desired.

High Efficiency Gas Fire tested to the latest 2009 standard. Before comparing figures please note that some older products on the market are quoting high efficiency figures which were tested to the old 2001 standard. We have tested some of these products in our purpose built test lab and achieved efficiency ratings 20% lower than those being quoted. Task the sales person and ask them to confirm which standard the appliance was tested to - 2001 or 2009?

| At CVO fire we specialise in designing and manufacturing high efficiency gas fires and fireplaces. Please do not get caught in the trap of thinking energy efficiency ratings are everything. The type of appliance and type of fuel you use is equally important. Some companies will blind you with energy efficiency ratings to avoid mentioning the running costs. Gas is 70% cheaper per kW of heat than any other fuel. All CVO high efficiency gas fires are handmade in the UK at our Newton Aycliffe factory. |
